New Batman Starting Robert Pattison
It’s easier to push the violence envelope. It takes guts and critical thinking to create something more cerebral. Continue reading New Batman Starting Robert Pattison

Hey DC, why don’t you actually go back and read some of the Batman comics BEFORE Frank Miller came on board and focused efforts on making The Batman as dark as possible? Why don’t you look into the numerous Batman universes and pick one where he showcases more brain over brawn and violence for the sake of violence? Why don’t you do something to salvage Batman before he throws all caution to the wind and becomes the kingpin of his own crime syndicate? Continue reading Batman v Superman is a DUD
Because this is Hell’s Kitchen, the entire show really takes place in the dark underbelly of humanity’s cesspool. In fact, the show wreaks of cesspool. As my son and I watched the premiere episode, he noted that he wasn’t sure he would be able to watch too many episodes if they were all going to be this tragically dark and gruesome. Supergirl wants to make her own way and rightly so, just like she did in the comics. So far, the show has been decent. There are some “aw, come on!” moments, but I try to remember this is a show about a comic book heroine so there is always going to be a sense of “hard to believe” at some points. Continue reading Superhero Shows We Have Today

After all, there are many Batman “universes” to choose from, so please, pick one and stick with it, will you? Continue reading This Just In…Fans are PO’d at Gotham Writers Over Jerome’s Demise
In this latest installment of the Avengers, the movie is heavy on action, but falls down a bit on character development and dialogue. The other problem is that because there are so many main characters, it is really impossible for the screenplay or movie itself to go into any real depth by focusing on one or two of them. Continue reading Avengers: Age of Ultron
I am impressed. The show is very good to excellent. The dialogue is very smart. Cox does a very fine job dialing in his characters, as does Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) and Eldon Henson (Foggy Nelson). Originally, I wasn’t too sure about Henson’s character because his type of constant kidding and self-deprecation gets a bit tiring. However, over time, you realize that Foggy has depth and there are times when other aspects of his personality bubble to the top. Continue reading Daredevil! You Better Believe It!
